The season is already underway and the French Championships, taking place in Maubuisson later this summer, are already on the radar. After the success of the 2022 event, the U15 shared-fleet French Cup is back for another running, and the Federation has opted for the Techno Wind Foil 130 as the official fleet board for the Under 15s.

At its most recent round of discussions in May, the Techno Wind Foil 130 was selected as the standard board for “Shared Fleet” Windfoil competitions for the next few years. The committee particularly appreciated it for its versatile foil/fin capabilities, durable construction and easy ride for all skill levels. 30 Techno Wind Foil 130 packages with foils will be available to all the young riders present, who can therefore come along without their own equipment and be sure of competing on equal terms.

This TAHE manufactured board/foil combo stood out for various specific qualities that were underlined by Didier Flamme of the FFVoile, one of the prime movers behind the project:

“One of the FFVoile’s key missions is to introduce youngsters to competitive racing. For windfoil, the Techno Wind Foil 130 is a perfect fit with our plan and programme. The board enables children to master the basics of foil flying and to progress smoothly on to racing. Its dual function also allows youngsters to learn and progress their classic slalom riding when conditions are stronger and more challenging. It’s a genuine all-rounder. The strong build of both board and foil was also an important factor in our choice, important because the equipment needs to stand up to intensive usage in clubs and schools. The reasonable price point of the TWF 130 and its strict adherence to monotype construction resulting from consistent manufacturing processes here in France, help make the discipline an attractive proposition.”

The French Shared Fleet Under 15s Windfoil Cup will take place over 4 days, from 14th to 17th July in Maubuisson. The equipment used will be supplied by the FFVoile in collaboration with TAHE.
